Blending Learning in the Classroom

Will blending learning really work in the music classroom? I guess one could say, yeah, I'm sure it would work. But honestly I don't really understand how it would work there are so many questions I would want answered first. Like, how do you figure out what plan would work best for a student or what does the teacher really do?

Although I do like some of the positive things it talks about. I love that it is personalized to the students learning. This is a big part of teaching and keeping the student motivated to learn. Another thing I like is that it stays at the same pace as the student. No body is having to be bored because things are moving to slow or being left behind because instruction is moving to fast!

As for using blending learning in the music classroom... I'm not really sure about it. Mainly because I can not see what the teacher's role is beside just showing up and helping. Art is a living a breathing thing!  I do not think it would be as appreciated as much as it would be if it was taught through a computer. I really believe that art is best taught and understood through good modeling.

Other than that, I really think I would need a whole Q&A session on this before I could give a more in dept answer. I am open to the idea of blended learning.  I think it is a step toward something, but right now it gives me uneasy butterflies..
